Grease
Grease the musical comes back to London
Grease first opened in London in the 1970s and was re-released in a brand new stage version after the hit film of 1978. Following several popular runs in the 1990s, Grease the musical now opens with another fresh and lively production at the Piccadilly Theatre in July 2007.
The extra twist this time is that the stars have been chosen by the public in the Saturday night ITV cliff-hanger 'Grease is the Word'.

From TV show to West End stage
The lucky winners will star as Sandy and Danny, on-off lovers, and students at Rydell High School in 1959 America. Sandy is the squeaky-clean new girl in school who joins the Pink Ladies but who is in love with Danny, leader of the tough boy gang, The T-birds.
Their story and the other troubled romance between Rizzo and Kenickie are brought to life through the striking hit songs - You're The One That I Want, Grease is the Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Sandy and Greased Lightnin'.
Best of all is Sandy's transformation from squeaky clean 1950s girl-next-door to the leather-clad temptress that leaves Danny 'All choked up'. So, bring your gang to the all-new Grease musical, meet the new Danny and Sandy along with those groovy T-Birds and sassy Pink Ladies.
