All My Sons
Based on the novel written by Michael Morpurgo
Joe Keller (David Suchet) is alleged to have supplied World War II fighter planes with defective engines, leading to the deaths of innocent pilots - a crime for which his business partner took the fall. One of Keller's sons Laurie, himself a pilot, is thought to have been killed in action. But three years later his mother (Zoe Wanamaker) can't accept his death. She’s also struggling to accept that Laurie’s fiancée, Annie has transferred her affections to her younger son . The confrontations that follow one evening lead to the uncovering of a shameful family secret. This forces the Keller’s to confront their hidden past, their own culpability and the awful part they may have played in their son Laurie’s untimely demise.

The Story
Powerful and passionate, the ‘All My Sons’ play brought Arthur Miller his first major success as a playwright. This moving, tragic drama is a compelling tale of the ideological conflict between father and son, a merciless exposure of wartime profiteering and the American Dream.
Directed by Howard Davies, The cast is led by two much admired actors: David Suchet and Zoe Wanamaker. Suchet is best known, though, for his role as Agatha Christie's great detective Hercule Poirot in the long-running British TV dramatic series Poirot. Zoë Wanamaker has appeared in movies including the Harry Potter , and TV productions such as a long-time role as Susan Harper in the sitcom My Family.
