With its ideal location on Leicester Square and a fresh new bourgeois feel thanks to a £3m refurbishment of its bar, restaurant and meeting rooms, the five-star Radisson Edwardian Hampshire Hotel, is now the place to be in central London.
The £3m refurbishment has seen the entire ground floor opened up to create a more glamorous and open space, decorated in shades of brown and taupe, with accents of paprika. All double aspect windows have been changed to allow people to see in and out and a new 'Al Fresco' area off The Hampshire Bar and Restaurant (formerly Apex Restaurant) is the perfect setting form which to watch the hustle and bustle of Leicester Square.
The Hampshire Bar and Restaurant now features an extended bar and serves seasonal, modern British cuisine and the hotel's reception desk has been re-positioned to a more central location in the lobby. On the lower level, a new business centre, fitness centre and meeting facilities have been added to complete the picture.
The hotel's 127 bedrooms have also been upgraded and are richly decorated with original artwork, faux silk wall coverings, chenille curtains and throws, hand embroidered cushions, Bang & Olufsen flat screen televisions and marble bathrooms. The hotel's 23 suites are dramatic creations, offering panoramic views of the capital and three bedrooms and one junior suite (with disabled facilities) have been added on the first floor.
The Hampshire Hotel dominates the corner of Leicester Square, famous for its glitzy film premieres. With its classic art and sculpture, the hotel combines grandeur with elegance and comfort and offers true luxury without pretension.
