Radisson Edwardian Hotels (REH), one of the UK's leading luxury hotel groups, has announced it will open a new 4-star property in Aberdeen, Scotland.  This will be the first time the group has developed a hotel outside England and when completed in 2009, the hotel will be the best hotel in Aberdeen.

The new 222 bedroom hotel will be located adjacent to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), one of Scotland's premier conference centres, in Bridge of Don, just three miles from the city centre.  It will also be close to the fourth oldest golf course in the world, Royal Aberdeen.

Amenities will include sumptuous leisure facilities such as a spa and a swimming pool, a high quality bar and lounge, a number of medium and small meeting rooms and ample car parking space.

 The Aberdeen hotel will be only the third Radisson Edwardian hotel outside London and Heathrow. The 5-star Radisson Edwardian Manchester opened in 2004 while a new Radisson Edwardian hotel will be the centrepiece of Belgrade Plaza, a landmark development in the heart of Coventry city centre, which is expected to open in May 2009.

REH is one of the UK's largest privately-owned hotel groups. Included in the group is Radisson Edwardian Heathrow, Radisson Edwardian Free Trade Hall (Manchester), the newly-refurbished May Fair Hotel (London), New Providence Wharf (opening in September 2007) and nine other properties in London.
