The London Symphony Orchestra is based at the Barbican Centre in London. Often referred to as the LSO, it is London's oldest orchestra and one of the top five orchestras in the world.
Founded in 1904, the London Symphony Orchestra is a favourite with classical composers, musicians, and audiences alike. It has played host to leading composers including Elgar, Holst, and Benjamin Britten. The London Symphony Orchestra's record label, LSO Live, has won Grammy, Gramophone, and Classical Brit Awards.
